You probably did not expected an article about a Day of Defeat movie, did ya? Well, I understand your skepticism towards this rarely featured game, but I Stand Alone is really special. And I don't mean handicapped special.

It kicks off with a 3d intro, which could easily pass as a part of a Hollywood B-Movie. Apart from that, I Stand Alone offers neat editing and nice frags, of course.

The only thing which bothers me a little is that it could have been longer. But this problem can be fixed by just rewatching it!

With the actual release of a technical extensive promotion video, Valve demonstrates the ability of their optimated "Source-Engine" and their newest game Day of Defeat: Source. Camera and sound let the viewer feel to be in an anti war movie. Apart from that Valve added some funny scenes - all this together makes this promotion clip a very impressive short movie.
